Deepika Padukone opts out of ‘Race 2’ for Rajinikanth: Producer Ramesh Taurani furious
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has opted out of Abbas-Mustan’s upcoming film ‘Race 2’ in order to play a lead role opposite to Tamil superstar, Rajinikanth, in his upcoming film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ and this news has not gone well with the producer Ramesh S. Taurani, as he thinks it is a highly unprofessional behaviour.
Previously the rumours which revolved around suggested Katrina Kaif for Rajinikanth’s film but now it has been confirmed that Deepika will be the female lead.
Taurani told the media Deepika has upset everyone including star like Saif Ali Khan and Sunjay Dutt. The producer further added that Deepika’s unprofessionalism has also resulted in huge monetary losses.
“We have to immediately look for her replacement and re-shoot her portions all over again. She has not only caused inconvenience to us but also to her co-stars (which includes Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt) who had allotted their dates for the shoot,” said Taurani.
