What Is Good Friday
When and What Is Good Friday, It is one of the religious holidays observed by the Christians on account of the crucifixion of their Jesus Christ. This day is well known for its religious significance and importance in the religion of Christianity and is also known as the Easter Friday, Black Friday, Holy Friday and Great Friday too. This is the Friday which is the preceding one from the Easter 2012 Sunday and in 2012 it is coming on April 6. The Christians have believed that this was the day on which the Jesus was crucified. So this day is being observed with full religious significance.The date and day on which the Jesus was crucified was being estimate by several methods which have made that the Good Friday on AD 33 by the Julian calendar and AD 34 by Sir Isaac Newton. This was the Good Friday on which the Jesus was being crucified
and so that’s why the Christians show their gratitude towards their Holy charismatic leader. There was another method through which this Good Friday is by the movement of the stars. This astronomical approach is based on the movement of the moon and the stars as the model based on the crucifixion darkness and eclipse have pointed out that the Good Friday was on the April 3rd in AD 33. According to the Christians it is a belief that the Jesus has laid his life for the sake of his followers and this is the belief that by Laing his life the Jesus has paid the penalty for all the sins of his followers. So to pay the tribute to their leader the Christians observes the Good Friday. Religious gatherings are being organized and the churches are being flourished by the people as it is the day on which the maximum number of Christians heads towards the church on the Good Friday.
On this Good Friday the Christians restrain them from eating lavish food and the few faithful people restricts them from eating the meat. On this very special day people observe fast and that’s why it is also renowned as the day of fasting in the religion of
Christianity. A special meal is being arranged in the church by the religious followers for all the people who have gathered in the church for the celebration of the Good Friday. This meal is being divided in to two parts one slightly smaller than the other and is being presented to the people twice in the day while they perform their religious rituals and activities in the church in related to the observance of the What Is Good Friday. The day is concluded by holy pray done by the priest in whom they bestow in front of the Jesus and pay tribute to his sacrifice.
