UTV strikes Rs.150-croresatellite deals
Mumbai, March 19 UTV Motion Pictures, one of the prestigious filmmaking studios, has sold satellite deals worth almost Rs.150 crore for their current releases and upcoming slate of movies.
"At UTV we have consistently focused on quality, and this is reflected in the huge confidence that satellite channels have shown in doing deals with us for our forthcoming slate of movies. Channels feel they are guaranteed great content when they make deals with UTV, and this inspires us to keep the bar high and continue to bring audiences great movies year after year," saidSiddharth Roy Kapur, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures in a statement.
The deal includes recently released movies "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu", "Paan Singh Tomar", "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya" as well as their forthcoming ventures "Barfi!", "Heroine", "Rowdy Rathore" and "Joker".
In addition, the studio is in different stages of negotiations on this year's slate of movies including multi-starrer "Race 2", India's first 3D dance movie"AnyBody Can Dance" (ABCD), "Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana" and"Ghanchakkar".
